Purchased from Walmart for $4, my Halloween pumpkin weighed in at 65 pounds. It needed to be disposed of creatively, so I called up Steamboat Springs fireworks guru Tim Borden.

Routt County Search and Rescue volunteers rescue a 9-year-old boy who fell into Fish Creek and went over a gushing waterfall. His mother also fell into the creek and died.

Molly Look

Since Jan. 17, 2007, every day of Molly Look’s life has been about accomplishments, big and small. Molly had been subjected to temperatures as low as 28 degrees below zero for possibly half an hour when she wandered away from home on the coldest day of the 2006-07 winter, before being found by a neighbor driving to work. With a body temperature of 82 degrees, Molly nearly died.

Taste of Champaign
